But somewhere along the way, it became easier to misread each other, judge each other and build stories about each other from half the picture.
Cliques formed. Hierarchies crept in. And for a lot of people, the online space stopped feeling like a nice place to do business.
BoldFest is the antidote to that.

Because this is the beginning.
Next year BoldFest gets even bolder and more playful, with an even bigger vision including a Founders Playground.
But this year matters because it sets the tone. The people here aren't just attending, they're helping to shape BoldFest and the online space too.

Not a line-up of people telling you how they did it and why you should do it the same way.
Bold Voices is a handful of carefully chosen people doing genuinely important work in the world. They'll share what that work is, why it matters, and what it's taught them.

BoldFest Founder
After years of bringing people together through business events, retreats and experiences, Nicola has seen what happens when the right atmosphere is created: people relax, walls come down, friendships form and more business comes from those friendships.
She also knows the other side of the online business world, what it feels like to be judged publicly for something people only partly understand.
BoldFest was born from that tension. From the belief that we can build something better. A space where people are not reduced to one post, one opinion or one hard day.
Nicola's mission: to connect people in a way that feels good, real and memorable, and to help make the online business world a better place to be.

BoldFest is built on the belief that connection belongs to everyone, regardless of background, ability, identity or how you show up in the world.
We are committed to creating a space that is warm, welcoming and genuinely inclusive. Not just in words, but in how the day is designed, run and felt.

Accessibility at BoldFest
We want everyone to be able to fully enjoy the day. Here's what you need to know, and if there's anything else we can help with, just ask.
♿ Getting There
- Use the main conference centre doors for fully accessible entry. The route to the Tipi is completely flat with solid flooring throughout. No steps on this route.
- Please avoid the left-hand Tipi entrance directly from the main gates — this route has a bridge and steps and is not step-free.
🚻 Toilets
- Accessible toilet inside the main building, a short distance from the Tipi, connected by solid wooden flooring.
- Toilets also available inside the main venue area and Shepherd Hut style toilets outside on the grass near the Tipi.
- There are a couple of small steps from the Tipi decking to the grass area. The venue will provide ramps on request — please let us know in advance.
🍽️ Dietary Requirements
We will ask for all dietary requirements ahead of the event so everyone is fully catered for. Nothing will be an afterthought.
🔊 Hearing & Audio
We don't have full AV in the Tipi so hearing loops won't be available at this event. If this affects you, please get in touch so we can explore what we can do to support you.
